This Google Slides Activity includes 12 unique slides that involve determining factors and multiples, common factors and common multiples of 2 numbers, and both the greatest common factor and least common multiple of the same 2 numbers.
The students will start first by pairing up factor pairs, then determining the common factors of 2 numbers in order to then list the GCF of those numbers. Then students use tables to organize multiples of a number up to the 10th multiple, compare multiples of 2 numbers to find all common multiples, and eventually determine the LCM of those numbers.
The slides are very easy to duplicate if you would like to add more than the 12 that are included. Extra circles for common factors/multiples and text boxes are provided on the last slide as students occasionally delete one or both by accident. An easy modification would be to allow calculators or only require that some slides be complete rather than all 12.
I have used this activity in my 6th grade classroom and all abilities of students enjoyed the challenge. There is no prep required other than saving the activity to your Google Drive and assigning it via Google Classroom or providing your students with a link to the activity.
