This chart is the chart I use in my classroom with my students while reading Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. The novel is so rich in figurative language and students have a difficult time identifying it, let alone interpreting and analyzing it. This chart helps them keep track of the figurative language they identify and then facilitates the interpretation and analysis of it.
This chart includes the following columns:
- Quote from the Novel
- Page & Paragraph Number
- Type(s) of Figurative Language
