Product Description
This document features three potential mental health diagnoses for Guy Montag, the main character in Fahrenheit 451. Using DSM V diagnostic surveys, students can evaluate Montag for several different mental health disorders. To support common core standard mastery, students are asked to show textual evidence to support their diagnosis for each survey question. This is an excellent group work assignment as students will enjoy looking through the book to try and prove that he has the disorder selected for their group. The assignment encourages higher order thinking and helps students to establish connections between themes and events throughout the story. This is an excellent lesson for formal observations!

Document includes: 3 separate charts based on DSM V diagnostic surveys that allow for diagnosis of Guy Montag: Depression, Anxiety, & Dissociative Disorder. It also has a one page summary of the three disorders.
