This unique unit plan reviews English language conventions and grammar in Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451. It is composed of ready-to- use student handouts and seperate teacher answer keys. Each handout is composed of an exercise that covers a certain topic. Topics include parts of speech (e.g. subject and predicate), and correct punctuation use (e.g. comma usage). The many exercises in this plan use actual excerpts from the novel. For instance, excerpts in which Bradbury uses semi-colons were used to create an exercise that reviews semi-colon usage. By utilizing actual excerpts, this plan helps to make the tedious task of teaching English language conventions more relevant and meaningful to students.
