This reader's theater was written for 5 people. It is the Irish version of Cinderella and we are using it for Saint Patrick's Day. There are three sisters. Their names are Fair, Brown, and Trembling. Trembling is the youngest sister and the most beautiful. Fair and Brown want to be married and do not dare let anyone see Trembling. When they go to Mass each week, they insist on leaving Trembling home. One day a hen wife helps Trembling get a beautiful dress and slippers and sends her to Mass. Everything changes and a king falls in love. If you are interested in scripts for Saint Patrick's Day you can buy all six in the package called 'Irish Small Group Reader's Theater Pack' for $12. I use reader's theaters to encourage my students to practice fluency. It is a fun way to do something that they need. Most of my scripts are in black and white so they photo copy easily. The problem with many other reader's theaters is that students spend a lot of time waiting for their part. When you have a small group they get more practice in and less off task behaviors take place. My name is Melanie Whitesides but I my store name is Wonbyone and I hope that your students enjoy this script as much as mine did. Let me know how things go!
