Bon Voyage! Students will enjoy creating a skit or video that incorporates vocabulary for travel by plane or by train. Students will work in groups to choose their method of transportation (plane or train) and use the corresponding vocabulary and guidelines to write a script and perform a skit (live or filmed). They can buy their tickets, choose their seats, pack their luggage, travel to the airport or train station, interact with the flight crew, or eat in the train's dining car. They will love using their vocabulary in a real-life travel situation. Although this project corresponds with Chapters 8-9 of the Bon Voyage textbook, it can be easily adapted to fit any French class or curriculum.
In order to keep each student involved and paying attention during the skit presentations, use the included peer evaluation form. You will also find a teacher's version of the evaluation form to aid you in quickly grading individual student performance during the skit presentations. Also included is a group member evaluation form for students to describe and evaluate the contributions (or lack thereof) of each member of their group.
