At the end of our Fairy Tale Unit, the students get to create their own Fairy Tale using the elements that we discovered Fairy Tales possess. I've done this as an At-home project or as an In-class assignment. The first page is the rubric and assignment sheet.
I had all of the students give a presentation and read aloud their Fairy Tale to the class. The audience members will take notes during the presentations. You can write in the names in the class ahead of time, or not. I collect their listening sheet after the final presentation, so I can assess their listening comprehension.
You can also grade their presentation skills, but for this assignment, I was more concerned about the content of the Fairy Tale.
