Explore beginning probability by reading scenarios and sorting into probability groups. Scenario cards are connected to five fairy tales: Cinderella, the Three Little Pigs, Jack and the Beanstalk, the Princess and the Pea, and Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
- 3 boards per story that cover:
-- Certain, Likely, Impossible
-- Certain, Possible, Impossible
-- Certain, Likely, Unlikely, Impossible
- 18 provided scenarios per story with 2 blank tiles for your students to draw and write their own scenarios
- all scenrario tiles are offered in color and black & white versions
This is meant as an introduction to probability and thus there is flexibility with how students label events that are not certain or impossible. I look for students being able to back up their choices with thoughtful reasoning and as such there is not an answer key attached.
