This is a STEM engineering projects based on Rapunzel. Students will construct a pulley so that Rapunzel can stop lifting things with her hair. This activity is designed to encourage critical thinking and scientific reasoning skills, as well as, problem solving and teamwork.
-Student recording sheets (four options)
-detailed notes to teacher
Additional resources you will need:
-gram stackers or pennies
-Pringles can (or something else for the tower)
-small bucket with handle
-various building materials (straws, pipe cleaners, rubber bands, paper clips, clothespins, etc...use whatever you have!)
Great for use in a STEM or gifted classroom!
It can be completed in one class period of an hour or less.
