The first page is for introducing fairy tales, fables, and folk tales. I have students take notes from our class anchor chart for the "Characteristics" box and then let them go through/read fairy tales, fables, and folktales to fill in the "Examples" box (I do this part during shared reading).
The next three pages have an example of each a fairy tale, fable, and folk tale. I have the students highlight the clues and then decide what type of story it is.
The rest of the pages are for them to plan their own fairytales, fables, and folktales (during writing). The last page has a space for them to write their title and then draw their own Flow Map or whatever type of graphic organizer they'd like for planning out their story.
The whole unit usually takes 3-4 weeks. Ideally I spend a week per each genre. The students use this packet for the whole unit, filling out each sections as we get to the matching genre.
