Product Description
This 70-page Common Core aligned, integrated reading and writing unit is one of my favorites!
Every reading and writing lesson includes an anchor chart, graphic organizer, and/or exit slip so that you have a comprehensive unit full of fun ways for students to develop and practice reading and writing skills. Each lesson is aligned to Common Core Reading Literature, Narrative Writing, and Language Standards for grades 2-4.

I suggest these mentor texts when teaching this unit:
The Three Little Pigs (original version)
The True Story of the Three Little Pigs by Jon Scieszka
Cinderella (Walt Disney version)
The Three Billy Goats' Gruff (original version)
Goldilocks and the Three Bears (original version)
The Wolf's Story by Toby Forward
