PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This document provides a reading list of Fairytales and Folktales to use with the recommended classifying activity that is also attached. Teachers should use the reading list as a way to recommend various tales to students. Note* the reading list is color coded. All books highlighted in red are Fairy Tales. Students should use the sentence strips to classify each story that is read based on the descriptions on the strips. If a student collects more strips that identify a story as a folktale, then they would classify that story as a folktale. If a student collect more strips to identify a story as a fairytale, then they would classify that story as a fairytale. This can also be used to compare and contrast stories.
