This Reading Mystery Video Hook 'Once Upon a Crime - Stolen Time' is designed to set the stage to engage with the reading and paper part of the activity, FOUND HERE. It is an optional extra to add a bit more excitement to the activity.

Play this video, then at the end direct students to begin reading the worksheets.
Where it ends in the video is where it takes off in the text . . . 'Detective, your phone is ringing, answer it.'

In the worksheet section of this activity, students will be required to read the story and complete activities to discover clues. There are five clues to crack. Each clue requires students to critically think to decide which suspects they can eliminate as being the culprit.
