A great way to review novels or to get your students thinking about characters in a new light!
Sample Character Receipts: There are six sample character receipts with four items each for George Milton, Lady Macbeth, Abby Williams, Piggy, Jay Gatsby, and Holden Caulfield. I use these to show the students what types of items they could have their characters purchase and how to explain the purpose behind each item. Answer sheet is included for each character explaining their purchase.
Blank Receipt Templates: There are two blank receipt templates. One is very detailed and students only need to fill out the amount, product, and price. The second template has blanks for the store name, date, time, and payment method so students can come up with their own.
Blank Worksheet: The original receipts created by the students are collected and then redistributed to their classmates. This worksheet has a place for students to identify who the character is and the explanation for each of the items the character purchased. Or you can hang up receipts and have students complete a gallery walk to identify characters and purchase explanations.
This product is not specific to any book, play, or poem. As long as you have covered multiple works in class, your students can complete this lesson!
