Teach children early literacy skills our FUN Fall Alphabet Flip and Cover Game hands-on activity! This focuses on teaching children letter recognition, letter identification, letter sound correspondence, and fine motor skills!

About this Product

Our Fall Alphabet Flip and Cover Game helps children develop their fine motor skills, independence, attention-span, self-confidence, problem solving skills, and literacy. It corresponds to Common Core Standards RF.K.1.D, RF.K.2.D and RF.K.3.A as children identify upper- and lowercase letters, use letter-sound knowledge, and identify initial sounds.

This product includes:

→ 5 Uppercase Letter Activity Mats

→ 5 Lowercase Letter Activity Mats

→ 5 Uppercase & Lowercase Combined Letter Activity Mats

→ 5 Phonics Activity Mats

→ 104 Activity Cards - 26 uppercase letters, 26 lowercase letters, 52 phonics cards (2 per letter)

This activity has many fun uses!

★ Use in a literacy center for children to play independently. They will flip a card over and place a snap cube on the corresponding letter or picture on the activity mat.

★ Use a mix of the uppercase mats with the uppercase activity cards / lowercase cards / beginning sound cards. You can mix and match all mats depending on the level your students need. Advanced students can work on identifying beginning sounds by placing a snap cube over the letter on the mat that starts with the same sound as a picture card.

★ Play this game in a small group. Give each child an activity mat. Then, either have the teacher or another student be the caller. They will show the students one calling card at a time for the children to cover. Five in a row wins!

The prep is easy! Simply print this activity, laminate and cut out the activity cards. Then grab some snap cubes and you're ready to go!
