TEACH STUDENTS ABOUT BUOYANCY AND DENSITY IN A FUN AND HANDS ON WAY!
Make learning fun with this fall themed STEM activity in which students design a boat out of apples!
Before designing their boat students explore a variety of objects that sink or float. Students learn about why some objects sink and others float through reading, discussion, and answering comprehension questions. Students apply what they learn as they create their boats.
Students plan, design, and execute their own ideas. After they have completed their activity, there is time for reflection on what worked and what didn't.
It aligns with the NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards).
