My kiddos adore our themed count and clip cards. In a class of four year olds, activities that students can manage on their own are a blessing. Not only are they able to build stamina with their independence, they are able to target several key skills. With count and clip cards our kiddos work on fine motor skills, counting, one to one correspondence, and number recognition. It is also a great way to practice organized counting.
Count and Clip cards are also easy to differentiate for your students. I copy the cards on different colored cardstock depending on how high the number choices go. Then I slide them into page protectors and they are ready to go. When the next theme rolls around I file these away and slide in the new theme.
