This unit is aligned with Texas TEKS 2.4A, 2.4B, 2.4C, 2.4D, 2.7A, 2.7C full of stations and activities for double digit addition without regrouping. -Double digit addition word problems where students read the problem, match the answer statement, bar model, equation, and then solve on their recording sheet.
-Double digit addition task cards or use as a "Scoot" game around your room! Kids love this!
-Double Digit Spin an Equation with two different recording sheets for differentiation. Students can draw base ten models to solve or write equations and solve using two strategies.
-Station for decomposing and composing addends. This is great for kiddos who need to tangibly move the value of the digits. Think place value cards!
-Double Digit addition on a number line. Cards for missing addend where students have to write the jumps, and cards with starting addend and jumps given where students fill in the tic marks.
-Double Digit Base 10 Models where students grab two cards with Base 10 Models printed and create an addition equation and solve.
- Double Digit Comparing Numbers where students solve two equations and compare the sums for greater than, less than or equal to. There is a recording sheet for students to solve and prove how they know which symbol to use!
-Sorting double digit addition sums by odd and even.
