This zip file contains everything you need to review mixed numbers and improper fractions through fun Autumn-themed games!
The download contains 64 game cards (32 improper fractions and 32 matching mixed numbers) in two versions: black and white and color, 20 filled-in bingo cards, 4 blank bingo cards, game instructions, and an answer key listing all the matching improper fractions and mixed numbers.
Game 1: Memory Matching
A great way to practice converting between mixed numbers and improper fractions in a fun, game setting. Played like the game "memory", students have to find matching pairs of numbers (one will be a mixed number and one will be an improper fraction).
Game 2: War
This game is a great way to review both converting mixed numbers and improper fractions and comparing them! This game is played just like the card game "war", but uses the included game cards.
Game 3: Bingo
This game is a great way for the whole class to review converting improper fractions to mixed numbers! The teacher will call out an improper fraction and if students have the matching mixed number on their bingo card, they cross it out. There are 20 unique student bingo boards included (5 sheets of 4 cards), as well as 4 blank bingo boards in case you need to make extras.
You can always make up your own games and/or activites using the game cards, as well!
These games make great center activities or test review games, especially in the Fall around Halloween or Thanksgiving!
