→ PRINTABLE PIECES: 11 printable options included. → 6 reading passages, → 3 compare and contrast printables, → 1 graphic organizer for students to use before, during, and after reading to determine whether a text is fiction or nonfiction, → 1 checklist to help students determine fiction or nonfiction.

→ EXIT TICKETS: 8 exit tickets for you to use with ANY text.

→ WRITING PIECES: 2 fiction story spinners, 8 character bubble maps for students to use to focus their fictional writing, graphic organizer for students to write their own fictional story, final draft papers for their fictional story

→ WRITING CARDS: Place the provided cards into two piles {Characters and Setting} at a center. Students will choose one card from each pile. Students will use the chosen character(s) and setting to start a story.
