The Leaf Graph activity is a hands-on way for the whole class to participate in learning how to graph and analyze data using a bar graph. Students enjoy answering the question, “What is the best color for a fall leaf?” Students choose from three fall colors to color their individual leaf. The students create a class graph by placing their leaf choice card in the correct category on the graph on the wall. A graphing worksheet corresponds to the leaf graph and is a powerful tool to help students learn how to read, record information, and evaluate the data on a bar graph. The Leaf Graph activity is an exciting way for all students to participate and learn about graphing!
