This lesson is one of my students’ favorites. We are inspired by Georgia O’Keefe’s “Autumn Leaves” which can be found on Google images. (By the way, I now use Google Images frequently. I only have a media projector and a pull down screen, and I use the mouse as a pointer.) We talk about the two different kinds of shapes in art design. The leaf is a natural shape. We will use lines and line patterns with geometric shapes to create interest and variety.
