### Description

Fall math activities for third graders! This bundle is ideal for the beginning of the school year as it is fall themed. ***Updated for 2015!***

No Prep printables can be used for:
* morning work /bell ringers
* early finishers
* homework
* sub tub
* to assess current levels
* to give extra practice to those that need to be brought up to level

In addition to 30+ rigorous NO PREP printables, I have included Multiplication War and Multiplication Bingo. The .zip file contains 4 .pdf files: the main file, Autumn Task Cards, the Multiplication Bingo file, and the Multiplication War file.

CONTENTS

Operations and Algebraic Thinking
Grouping (3 pages): Arrays of apples, leaves, and acorns to reinforce understanding of multiplication facts.
Read, Write, Glue (3 pages): Great for math journals! Another activity well-suited for visual or hands-on learners.
Acorn Path (1 page): Help the squirrels find the paths to their tree!
Apple compare (1 page): Addition, subtraction, multiplication, and place value work. >, <. =
Word Problems (4 pages): Pumpkin and Apple themed, “extreme” pages are more challenging. These are provided in task card format as well (separate file), if that is more useful for your class.

Number and Operations in Base 10
Autumn Products (2 pages): Multiplication of whole numbers by factors of 10.
Read it, Write it, Round it (2 pages): Rounding to 10s, 100s, and 1000s.

Number and Operations: Fractions
Equivalent Apples (1 page): Color the equivalent fractions.
Comparing Apples to Apples (2 pages): Color the fractions that are greater than the initial fraction. A fraction bar page is included.
Autumn Fractions (2 pages): Use fraction knowledge to find fractions of a whole.
Fall Fractions Scenes (4 pages)

Measurement and Data
Find the Area (3 pages): Measure each shape and determine the area (rulers provided).
Apple, Acorn, and Pumpkin Balancing (4 pages): Find the balance in this pre-algebra activity. How many more apples or acorns are needed to balance the see-saws (equations).
Is it time to leave yet? (4 pages): Read time to the minute and then determine the elapsed time interval.

Games
Multiplication War (14 pages)
Multiplication Bingo (35 pages)

### Standards

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Recognize area as additive. Find areas of rectilinear figures by decomposing them into non-overlapping rectangles and adding the areas of the non-overlapping parts, applying this technique to solve real world problems.
Understand two fractions as equivalent (equal) if they are the same size, or the same point on a number line.
Explain equivalence of fractions in special cases, and compare fractions by reasoning about their size.
Solve two-step word problems using the four operations. Represent these problems using equations with a letter standing for the unknown quantity. Assess the reasonableness of answers using mental computation and estimation strategies including rounding.
Fluently multiply and divide within 100, using strategies such as the relationship between multiplication and division (e.g., knowing that 8 × 5 = 40, one knows 40 ÷ 5 = 8) or properties of operations. By the end of Grade 3, know from memory all products of two one-digit numbers.
