Subitizing Cards with Crows, Blank 10 Frame
Subitizing Cards, Blank 10 Frame with fun fall crows!
I went to a workshop and was introduced to SUBITIZING! Subitizing is a skill that students need to be able to do for number sense. It is recognizing dots or items and mentally knowing it's number. Subitizing aids in mental math and quick addition or subtraction without having to count. For example, if your students see 5 objects, they should be able to quickly say 5!
Included is a blank 10 frame to use for teaching.
I plan on using Subitizing Cards for flash cards in small group and playing a game, Around the World. The first 2 stand up. The first student to say the correct amount will be able to move to the next student. This continues around a circle of students.
Subitizing Cards will also be great for STOMP. Call on the first 2 students in a circle and call out a number. The first student to STOMP on the correct amount will be able to 'go up against' the next student in the circle around our rug.
Subitizing Cards will be great while waiting in line for restroom or lunch. I will flash a card and students will quickly hold up the number of fingers they see on the card.
Included in Subitizing Cards, Number Sense 1-10
Blank 10 Frame (3 on a page for easy copying)
Blank 4 cards (4 on a page for easy copying)
40 Flashcards of Dots to Subitize!!

Earn TpT Credits for purchases on TpT. You get one TpT Credit for every $ you spend on TpT. Thing is, you only get the Credits after you Provide Feedback -- both a fair rating and a fair comment -- on the items that you purchase. We will round up for you, too! If you provide fair feedback on a $4.75 item, you will earn 5 credits. Every 100 Credits is worth $5 that you can apply towards future TpT purchases, but there is no need to wait until you have 100 to redeem them. 50 credits is worth $2.50, for example.
The program is retroactive to feedback provided on purchases since August 1, 2011.
How to Redeem TpT Credits
You can keep track of how many credits you have accrued here or on the top of the site after login. When you check out, you will be given the option of applying your TpT Credits to your purchase, thereby discounting your purchase price accordingly.
