This is an engaging fall-themed multiplication game. Student roll a die and lay out that many trees. This is how many groups they have. They roll again and place that many fall leaves on the tree. They then record that they have ___ groups of ____ and create a multiplication sentence. To find the product, they count or skip-count the number of leaves.
This works great for math centers. We use it during math workshop, and the recording sheet documents student work and learning. You may customize this game to meet your needs by being able to print two different types of trees. You can also choose to print large or smaller versions of the trees. In addition, you may choose what type of leaves to print (or you may just print them all)! There are also two different black and white versions and two different color versions of the recording sheet. This includes an "I Can" statement so you can easily keep your objectives posted while you teach. Your students are sure to benefit from this game!
