Product Description
Help students listen for the phoneme sounds they hear in a word. Print a game board for each student or one for a small group. You will also need to provide students with a game piece. The first player draws a card, tells how many sounds are in the word, and then moves that many spaces. Each leaf is one spot. The first player to get to the kid raking leaves is the winner! This would be great in a literacy center or used to prepare students for phoneme segmentation fluency (PSF) for Dibels. This is included in my Fall Activities - Reading, Math, Science packet.

Picture Cards:
2 sounds: pie, hay, bee, tie, eight
3 sounds: leaf, map, tree, shell, boot,
book, apple, rain, web, tooth, moon, cat
4 sounds: frog, flag, needle, turtle,
clock, igloo, taco

Here are other games for phoneme segmentation practice.
