Pumpkin Emoji Place Value Practice (color and b&w)-Students can work in partners or independently to practice recognizing numbers represented with base ten blocks and then writing them in both standard and expanded form. Students will turn over adorable pumpkin emoji cards with a variety of four digit numbers, match the card to the emoji on the recording sheet and then write the number in standard and expanded form.
Pumpkin Compare- This game can be played in partners or independently as well as multiple times. Laminate the game board or slide it in a page protector so students can use a dry erase marker if desired. Students turn over two cards and place them on the game board. Students record their number for player one and player two and then determine the correct symbol to compare the two numbers using <, > or =.
Comparing Numbers Dice Game- Laminate or slip into a page protector for repeated use. Students can use this game multiple days because they will be creating new numbers each time while using dice. Students roll dice to create three or four digit numbers and then choose the correct symbol to compare the two numbers.
Place Value Quiz and Answer Key- 10 questions to assess students learning of place value in a multiple choice format.
