Product Description

This is resource is chock-full of pragmatic language tasks - and everything Fall!

Includes:

PROBLEM SOLVING: 3 different levels of difficulty/cues - matching, multiple choice, and open-ended questions to do with safety, social appropriateness, morals, and manners. The macthing activity comes with a distractor (wrong answer) card for each problem. These can be left out or included to make things a little more difficult.

ASKING QUESTIONS: Given a comment by a communication partner, students must decide an appropriate question to ask. There are 2 different levels of difficulty/cues - multiple choice and open-ended questions that target asking relevant questions while maintaining topic and listening to the speaker.

MAKING COMMENTS: Given a comment by a communication partner, students must decide an appropriate comment to make. There are 2 different levels of difficulty/cues - multiple choice and open-ended questions that target making relevant comments while maintaining topic and listening to the speaker.

TAKING PERSPECTIVE: A scenario is described and students are asked to infer how the person involved feels by choosing the correct emotion. Also contains 2 different levels of difficulty/cues - multiple choice and open-ended questions.

FOLLOWING SOCIAL RULES: Given a social scenario, students must decide the appropriate action to take. These target: sharing opinions, using polite words, turn-taking, and more! Again, there are 2 different levels of difficulty/cues - multiple choice and open-ended questions.

There is also a set of "trick cards" and a board game that can be used with any of these activities to turn them into a competitive game.

Each activity/level contains a different Fall item, which makes for easy organization! Use one target at a time or all together to target numerous areas of pragmatic language! Would be appropriate for most elementary and middle school students (or students whose abilities are similar to these ages).
