Worksheets to Accompany Songs:
--Apple Tree Add-in-the-Bar-Lines: Students point to the rhythm and add in the bar lines where needed (2 meter choices given).

--Apple Tree Cut and Paste: Students will cut and paste the staff notation of this song in the correct order. {F- and G-do versions provided}

--Apple Tree Piece Together the Song: Students will write the stick notation and solfege of the song in the correct order.

--Apple Tree Rhythm Preparation Chart: First, students point to the apples and keep a steady beat. Then, they point at the seeds inside the apples (these show rhythm). Students can notice that some beats have one sound and some beats have two sounds.

--Canoe Song Add-in-the-Rhythm Level 1: Students fill in the missing rhythm for the song. Some rhythm is provided in this version.

--Canoe Song Add-in-the-Rhythm Level 2: Students fill in the missing rhythm for the song. No rhythm is provided in this version (harder than level 1).

--Great Big House in New Orleans Discover-the-Form: Students are shown the rhythm of the song. They must discover the rhythmic form.

--Great Big House in New Orleans My Version/Your Version Level 1: Students copy the last phrase of the song and add in the solfege syllables. Some of the notes and solfege are provided in this version. {F- and G-do versions provided}

--Hogs in the Cornfield Trace and Write: First, students trace the song in the music staff. Then, students write the song by themselves in the music staff.

--Apple Rhythm Preparation Composition: Students will compose by cutting and pasting apple icons. Students are given 4 whole apples and 4 apples cut in half. This worksheet is a preparation for Ta (quarter note) and Ti-Ti (eighth notes).

--Fall Form Composition: Students will compose their own 16-beat composition to a given leaf form. Two versions are provided:
-----Worksheet 1 shows the form (a b a b)
-----Worksheet 2 shows the form (a b a c)

--Fall Composition: Students cut and paste fall objects into an 8-beat composition. Then, students discover the rhythm of their piece. A Ta and Ti-Ti version is provided along with a key.

--Which Bag Do You Hear?: Given three choices, students will circle the bag of leaves they hear crunching. Eight versions are provided for the following concepts:
