This little activity will help students become familiar with three different types of sentences and identify their correct ending punctuation. The first activity is a sentence sorting activity that can be used in a pocket chart. It will work well in a center or as a whole group exercise. There are 16 sentence cards that the students will read and determine which sentence category it belongs in. The sentences do not have punctuation marks in order to make it more challenging for the students. The second activity is better suited for a center or as a fast-finisher activity. The student will read each sentence card and attach the correct ending punctuation clothespin.
