Children look at the pictures in small groups and develop a good, strong descriptive sentence, making sure to use proper spelling, capitalization and punctuation. When everyone in the group has written their sentences, they cut the picture and sentence apart. They line the pictures up in random order so that everyone can see them. Each student takes a sentence to read aloud (not their own) and the group tries to match it to the correct picture. Two alternative activities are included.
