I have started theme weeks this year and lesson plans to keep my self organized, more focused and to draw some enthusiasm into speech class. I work with a wide range of ages (preschool-elementary) so the lesson plans take that into account with games I use (store bought, TPT purchased with sellers names, etc), craft activities and books that can be used for main idea, "wh" questions, sequencing, etc. I have found this to be a quick way to complete some direct instruction with vocabulary when introducing the unit theme and then review at the next session. I have a beginning section that I use to mark my specific learning targets for the week, language, fluency, artic etc. I use this with my Daily Lesson Plan Form to plan the target for each student. So far this year the kids love it, are more excited and I am getting more specific and direct teaching in than I have in the past on general topics that their speech and language delays impact. If you find this useful for yourself please comment. If there is enough interest, I will post more as I go. Thanks for looking!
