We celebrated FALL in my speech room with this versatile art activity, and I thought you might like to try it, too!
We used stamp pads in green, brown, red, purple, orange and yellow and the students’ fingerprints to make the leaves. If you don't have stamp pads or don't care to use them, leaf stickers or leaf stamps work great, too.
This is a great art activity to use along with the book, The Biggest Leaf Pile by Steve Metzger. With language students, I read the book and followed up with this art project to discuss/retell the book.
Also, it’s just perfect for discussing/describing the season of fall and what happens during the fall (leaves change colors, leaves fall to the ground).
With articulation students, I did articulation drill as usual and allowed the students to add 3 leaves to the tree after each round of drill.
To see exactly how I used it visit,
my blog post all about it!
The possibilities really are endless!
I appreciate your feedback after you download.
