Fall is here and all the fun that goes along with it: camping, hayrides, scarecrow making, etc. Here are fall vocabulary pictures to go along with this season.
My Fall Vocabulary Cards include 32 flashcards with the following vocabulary: pumpkin, acorn, caramel apple, leaf, tree, basket, candy corn, spider, bat, candy, bag, jack-o-lantern, ghost, costumes, witch’s hat, black cat, turkey, pie, pilgrim, Indians, Mayflower, apples, owl, scarecrow, hay, wheelbarrow, tent, campfire, cornucopia, S’more, spider web and night/moon.
You can use these cards for:
Describing (tell 2, 3, 4 facts): When given pictured fall vocabulary (pumpkin, leaf, etc.), Student will define the word by providing 3 important details (category, function/what we do with it, what it’s made of/composition, etc.) on ___% of opportunities using an organizer/visual prompts as needed.
Identifying: When shown 3 pictured fall vocabulary words, Student will identify the word by its definition/description on ___% of opportunities.
Recall: After being shown 3, 4, 5 pictured fall vocabulary cards with each one labeled aloud, Student will recall the missing vocabulary card on ___% of opportunities when one is removed.
Sentence Formulation: Given a pictured fall vocabulary word, Student will use the word to produce a complete and grammatically correct sentence on 80% of opportunities.
Phonological Awareness: Identify number of syllables, identify initial sound, identify final sound, etc.
Games: Make 2 copies and play Memory or Go Fish.
I have also included 4 blank cards that you can write on to add your own fall vocabulary.
These cards are great for speech therapy language groups but can also be used to address carryover of articulation, voice and fluency skills.
