Designed for children 3-5 years old with a need for structured learning task, my Fall Ways to Represent a Number File Folder Game is the beginning of teaching numbers and counting.
I'm at the point where I'm ready to start introducing the concepts of counting and numbers to my students, but they need different levels of support in completely and learning new skills. In considering these learning behaviors, I have created this game to be used in multiple ways. The folder game starts with a numeral followed by fives boxes showing representations of that numeral: a fall icon with the numeral, the number word, dice, tally marks and a ten frame.
This product includes: one set of numbers 1-10 with all boxes of representations full to be used as a simple matching exercise. One set of numbers 1-10 with two empty boxes in each row so children just have to find the missing representations for that numbers. And one set of numbers 1-10 with all the boxes empty for children who are ready to tackle the larger tasks of matching representations to numeral.
This product is included in my Fall Theme Bundle: 14 Fall Themed Products for Children with Autism
These counting tasks are perfect for use with many of my adapted books. My adapted books are created for use in pre-K, preschool, early childhood special education and child care classrooms. Each book is interactive and focuses on new vocabulary. To see my inventory of adapted books, click here
