This product is a for a set of 12 word problems with a Fall theme. They include addition, subtraction, geometry, and estimation word problems. The problems are a mix of one and two-step word problems. There is a recording sheet for students to complete the work and record their answers.
In my own classroom, I have printed 2 copies of each set out. In class, pass out the cards to students. They walk around and find the other student who has the same card number as them. The pair sits down together and solves the problem, recording their answer on the sheet. Repeat and share when finished.
I have found that it turns somewhat monotonous word problem practice into an engaging, fun activity. They are also great for math centers.

This activity is aligned with the 3rd Grade CC Objectives:
CCSS.Math.Content.3.NBT.A.2 Fluently add and subtract within 1000 using strategies and algorithms based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction.
CCSS.Math.Content.3.NBT.A.2 Use place value understanding to round whole numbers to the nearest 10 or 100.
Understand that shapes in different categories (e.g., rhombuses, rectangles, and others) may share attributes (e.g., having four sides), and that the shared attributes can define a larger category (e.g., quadrilaterals). Recognize rhombuses, rectangles, and squares as examples of quadrilaterals, and draw examples of quadrilaterals that do not belong to any of these subcategories.
and the 4th Grade CC Objective:
CCSS.Math.Content.4.NBT.B.4 Fluently add and subtract multi-digit whole numbers using the standard algorithm.
