These Pocket-Chart cards have a FALL theme. Prepare the cards by printing on card stock or other heavy paper. Laminate for durability. Themes include, Back to School, Fire Safety, Columbus Day, Halloween, & Thanksgiving
The cards can be used in a variety of ways:
* introduce new words
* sort words by theme/topic
* alphabetize words
* build sentences (Basic sight word cards have been added to assist sentence making)
* copy words (Write the Walls. style)
* stamp the words
* type words on computer/iPad
* scaffold writing
I’ve also included sheets to “WRITE THE WALLS” my kiddos LOVE to grab a clipboard and walk around the room copying all the words they can find..
Lastly, there are two Say, Stamp & Color Books that are a great addition to your Literacy Center. You can choose to have students use stamps to build the theme related books or if your stamp sets are limited, you can use the letter tiles included in the packet. The tiles have a small image to help young learners keep focused on the words as they work..
I hope your kiddos have hours and hours of learning and fun with these activities..
Common Core Standards include: RF.K.1b,3a.3c, W.K.1
