Whether you are currently using journals on a regular basis or choose to create a journal, use these writing prompts to promote writing in your classroom. The prompts encourage students to further develop their writing skills.

Provide students with the same journal prompt or offer students a choice in the prompt they use. Each prompt contains two or three questions that provide students direction with their writing.
