Keep your students engaged this season with a special treat while learning, but without the sugary candy. Pumpkin and bat shaped pretzels go with this pack to practice math, fractions, writing, nonfiction comprehension and fluency, graphing and data. A cute math pumpkin book walks students through reviewing equivalent fractions, comparing fractions, probability, percent and subtracting fractions.
While the pretzels are labeled “Halloween”, the activities are not. They are specifically written to fall/autumn to include students who do not celebrate the holiday and allow you to use it all the way until Thanksgiving.
The pack includes:
-Pumpkin shaped fraction book (equivalents, comparison, +/-, probability and percentages)
The book is easy to alter- just leave off pages of topics that haven’t yet been covered.
-graphing and data
-writing prompts (12 prompts, both fiction and nonfiction are included)
-nonfiction original reading selection about bats in the ecosystem
-Ratio art drawing project
