Product Description
FALL/AUTUMN BINGO ACTIVITY
Students make their own bingo cards!

MATERIALS:

Bingo card and pictures (both included on one page) – photocopy one page per student

Bingo chips (or small scrap paper squares) to mark bingo cards – at least 9 per student

One set of enlarged bingo pictures for display on a pocket chart – mount on coloured paper like orange and yellow (with the same “Fall Bingo” picture on the back of each – see next page)… this is your “master” set of pictures for the bingo caller/teacher!

SUGGESTIONS:

1. Students cut their page in half – to separate the bingo card from the pictures.

2. Write their names at the bottom of the bingo cards.

3. REMEMBER to colour the paint buckets red, orange, and yellow. Then, cut out the fall pictures along the dotted lines.

4. Choose 8 different pictures and glue onto their bingo card… ready to play!

5. The picture in the middle of the bingo card is a “freebie” – start with a chip already there.

6. Teacher places all of the enlarged bingo pictures in a pocket chart with the pictures facing away from students (hidden).

7. Teacher asks students to take turns choosing pictures in the pocket chart. Flip over each card, identify the fall picture, then students look for the same pictures on their bingo cards and put chips on them. Sometimes, I like to make this interesting by taking the card, giving the students a few clues about the picture I’m holding, then let them guess for a few seconds before showing them the picture: "These can change from green to yellow, orange, and red. It’s… leaves!”

8. Teacher decides before each round how students can win – for example, 3 chips in a row (horizontal, vertical and/or diagonal) or fill their bingo card. Shout, “BINGO” if you’ve won!
