In this lesson, students will practice using features of Google Slides while creating their very own stop-motion animation. Students are walked through the basic features of Google Slides (Layout, Text, Background, Transition). Your students will also practice shortcuts (copy+paste).
The beauty of this lesson is there is no need to share this in presentation mode. Show students the slides in editor mode and address any questions as they arise. You can also model and recreate a few sample slides with your students before they get started!
What's included :
- 50 slides of animation,
- 5 background slides,
- 3 slides of clip art- Halloween, Autumn, and Christmas themed
- step-by-steps instructions for creating an animation,
When your students are finished completing their movie, your students can have a movie premier by screen-recording their films!
FAQ:
How long will this lesson take?
It depends how in depth you would like your students to create. I always set a goal of at least 15 frames for each class. In that sense, it could take a few rotations to complete a full movie. If you are a librarian on a specials rotation, it could take a few weeks to a month to complete this project.
How can I share this with students to get them started?
There are a few ways you can share this with your students: SeeSaw Link, Google Classroom, etc.! I highly recommend making a copy before sharing with students.
