Product Description
This family handout describes early literacy terms used daily in a Balanced Literacy Classroom. Definitions and examples for fluency, segmenting, blending, short vowels, long vowels, print concepts and high frequency words are included. There are also dialogue and talking point examples so families know exactly what to say to illicit certain responses and skills from their young reader. I have sent these home after our Curriculum Night so families are more familiar with the skills we are working on and the language we use!
