Kids need to know they do not have to cope with challenging situations and problems alone. It’s important that our students are able to identify the support people in their life—family, friends, and school staff—who will listen and support them during tough times. A large factor in building resilience in kids is the presence of even just one caring adult. This lesson and activity will allow students to identify people in their support system and also reflect on the reasons why these people are special and important.
This scripted lesson and activity can be used in the small group setting, classroom guidance, and individual counseling. Black and white student pages are also included for students to color! *These pages are not included in the total number of pages.
