Growing up my family would gather around the dining room table and play games. It was some of my most fond memories of childhood.
This resource allows your families to create their own memories playing games around the dining room table, except these games are ones students have learned at school and can now teach to their families.
Provided are eight games that families can play together;
Math Bump (Addition/Multiplication)
Addition Top-It (Addition)
Five in a Row (Addition)
Eggs and Nests (Multiplication)
Money Exchange (Money)
Tick Tock Race (Telling Time)
Quadrilateral Memory (Geometry
How it works:
Send home these games for a fun night in as a family! Then have families to take a picture while playing their chosen math game and hang it proudly for all to see. It's that simple!
All materials are provided for families, so it’s no prep for teachers! If families do not have dice, cards, chips, etc. they are provided in this resource.
This allows teachers to extend the classroom to students homes. They can play with anyone! I have had students send pictures playing their games with parents, siblings, grandparents, on vacation, with neighbors, etc. These are also great math review games that students now own for further practice!
