Description

Go buggy with bugs by using this Family S.T.E.M. Project. Students, along with the help of their families, choose an insect to research and complete a step book that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. The Science asks the children to draw/print their insect and label the various body parts. The Technology asks students to research their insect and write three interesting facts. The Engineering asks the students to build their insect using ordinary items found around the house and examples are provided. Students then explain what they used to build their insect. The Math asks students to develop and solve a word problem using numbers related to theirt insect. I make this a Family Project so parents begin to get an understanding of the S.T.E.M. philosophy and further engage them in our classroom learning. If you are using this with older students, perhaps you would want to make it an in-class activity for students to do individually or in cooperative groups.

I am sorry for your disappointment in this product. I do not know why it did not print correctly. When I checked it on various computers, it printed fine. If you would like to contact me through the Q and A I would be more than happy to send you the original file or a hard copy.
