We know that most ELL students come to school with a huge gap in their FOUNDATIONAL (basic) vocabulary. We know this gap is created because of a lack of conversation in the home (especially conversations in English). This book can be used in your classroom to build that foundational vocabulary and then to extend your lessons into the home. It was designed by a reading specialist to help you in your efforts to improve your students’ chances of becoming successful readers.
