My PreK students love talking about their families! We created these sweet and simple family trees during Thanksgiving time, but this complete unit works well during at any time of the year.
This file includes...
-a parent letter, patterns, and templates for creating your own family trees
- family word cards
- 2 songs (download the PREVIEW for a FREEBIE)
- real photographs of different families
- 5 worksheets for your writing center
- Roll and Cover math game
- 7 page student reader
- "Find the Family" alphabet recognition game
You will need 12x18 construction paper to complete the family tree project project. The face templates provide a starting point for little artists. Just write the names of the family members (or allow the students to) and distribute the face templates for decorating. So cute and fun! My family trees look great displayed in the hallway and it's a great keepsake for the parents. This would also be an easy and low prep activity to send home as a family project.
