African Americans/Black History: This "pattern Portrait" pack is perfect for Black History Month or any time you are studying the 22 people listed below. They are perfect to use and display after doing research.

Pattern Portrait Packs Found in My Store:
Black History
Presidents' Day
Founding Fathers
Women's History
Theodor Seuss Geisel
American Revolution

What are pattern portraits? They are portraits of famous people with patterns behind the image. When students color the patterns in a variety of different colors, the finished product is whimsical and fun. They can then color the realistic image of the famous person that is in front of the patterns. These are sure to add colorful pizzazz to your classroom. For the most pep from your portraits, tell your students to use lots of different colors and try not to have two of the same colors touching.

For each person, there is a choice of a pattern portrait coloring sheet, writing paper to glue to each one, and a pennant to make a class banner. Writing paper is formatted to glue to the coloring sheet or the pennant. The extra-long pennants are really neat! You can choose what you would like to use.

***Please note....You may have seen some other patterned art I posted in my store over the last few days. I apologize, but they have been removed. I had another seller request my original portrait art be removed because it looked too much like the style of her patterned art. I am okay with that request and I have worked hard to make this new version quite different by addressing all of the areas in the letter I received. I would like to address those changes. With my updated version, there has been a name change, but I think "Pattern Portraits" is really cute. The patterns are now behind the main image. My main image is no longer split into extra sections using diagonal lines overlaying the image. My main image sits on top of the patterns and does not have patterns as part of the main image. My writing paper is formatted to be attached to the pennants or the coloring page, or the pages can be used with out writing paper. As with any coloring activity, students get to pick their own colors. I have given a sample in my thumbnail but each final product will be different. If you purchased any of my original colorful portraits, you can email me at molly_phillips@mail.com and let me know. I will email you this new pack at no charge. Just let me know the date you purchased and your user name. I will gladly email you this pack:-) With the creative changes to mine and with these new revisions, my work should not cause any confusion when comparing product lines, especially since all of the drawings of the famous people in history were drawn specifically with this product in mind. I love the updated version, and I hope you do too. I hope your students have fun adding some color and pizzazz to the classroom.****

This pack is for one classroom teacher, but additional licenses can be purchased for half price. ♡

You can use the portrait pages as just coloring pages, or if your students are learning about these famous people in black history and you want them to do a writing, I have included paper that can be glued under the portrait. It makes for a fun hallway or classroom display. Please see the thumbnail images and the preview to get a better idea of what is included.
