In this project, students will research a famous Afro-Latino and write a postcard to the class from this person's point of view.
This document includes a description of the project, a rubric, a graphic organizer for the research, and a sheet for students to use to write their rough draft.
This product is meant for advanced classes and/or Heritage/Native Spanish speakers as it is entirely in Spanish (including the rubric).
I usually do this project to coincide with Black History Month and have found that it's great for my students to think about and recognize the racial diversity within Latin America. This is a great way to get them thinking and has surprised them a lot over the years.
