Famous Americans: Lyndon B. Johnson
This unit covers the Famous American Lyndon B. Johnson
Topics included prejudice, The Great Society, Voting Rights Act of 1965, respect for authority, Texas, and foldables to cover important vocabulary and character traits.
Included in this unit are several performance task including a post card and a choice board. Choice Boards are used to show understanding. They can make differentiation so much easier to manage in your classroom. Choice boards are a great tool to use because they allow students to make choices while encouraging them to think critically. I love using choice boards for differentiation. You can have the students do as many as you want. My students love making choices in their learning. The board can be used as classwork/performance task grades or as homework. Students love to choose how they "show you what they know."
